Before you start
To assign a Workers' Compensation rate to an employee, two things need to be in place first:
- A Workers' Compensation rate exists for the appropriate company in your Wagepoint account. The rate itself must be set up before you can assign it to any employees. If you haven't added this yet, add your Worker's Compensation rate before continuing.
- A work location exists for the employee's province. WCB rates are tied to work locations, so the province where your employee works must already be added as a location in your account. If you only see rates for one province, you likely need to add an additional location first.
