Add, edit, disable or enable an additional location

If you have employees in multiple provinces, you can add additional locations. Locations will you to set up jurisdictional taxes such as Worker's compensation and employer taxes.

 

Add a location

Note: You are only able to add additional business locations after an initial business location is set up. 

  1. In the navigation menu, navigate to Company > About
  2. Under Additional locations, click +Add location
  3. Fill in the location details and click Add. 

Edit a location

  1. In the navigation menu, navigate to Company > About
  2. Locate the card with the relevant location and click Edit. 
  3. Change any details and click Save. 

Disable a location

Note: A location can only be disabled if there are no employees or contractors assigned to it.

  1. In the navigation menu, navigate to Company > About. 
  2. Under Additional locations, locate the relevant and click the drop-down arrow.
  3. Click Disable. If a dialog box appears, click Disable again. The disabled location will now appear grey indicating that it is inactive. 

Enable a location

  1. In the navigation menu, navigate to Company > About.
  2. Under Additional locations, find the relevant location and click Enable. This location will now appear in black indicating that it is active.

 

What do I do if my additional location is remote?

Our team is working to improve the accommodation of remote work locations. In the meantime, if your additional location is remote, put three periods (...) in the Address field, put three periods (...) in the City field, select any province, and put X1X1X1 as the postal code, so it looks like this:

  • Location name: Remote location
  • Address: ...
  • City: ...
  • Province: (Any)
  • Postal code: X1X1X1
