This article describes how to connect your 1.0 partner account to your 2.0 partner dashboard, as well as best practices to support a smooth transition.

If you do not have a 2.0 partner dashboard yet, please use the Partner upgrade workflow to ensure that your data is transferred properly.

Key takeaways:

  • The Partner Connect process itself takes less than 10 minutes.
  • There are two steps: Create your 2.0 account, then connect your 1.0 and 2.0 accounts.
  • When you've completed this process, you'll be able to upgrade eligible clients.

The Partner Connect workflow does not upgrade your clients from 1.0 to 2.0 and does not transfer any data from 1.0 to 2.0.

Overview: How does Partner Connect work?

Note: Only the Account owner can complete the partner account connect workflow. You'll only need to do this step once -- all partner client administrators will be able to upgrade individual clients.

The Partner Connect process takes less than 10 minutes and consists of two steps:

  1. Step 1: Gather your 2.0 account details
You'll need to have your Company ID on hand to connect your two accounts.
  2. Step 2: Connect your 1.0 and 2.0 partner accounts.
This step builds a bridge between your 1.0 and 2.0 partner accounts, so you can upgrade your clients while maintaining the association with your partner dashboard.

Step 1: Gather your 2.0 account details

1. Log into your 2.0 account and make note of your Company ID. You'll need it to connect your 1.0 and 2.0 accounts together.

  • In the top navigation bar, click the drop-down arrow next to your company's name. Click your Wagepoint Company ID to copy it to your clipboard.

1. Log into your 1.0 Wagepoint partner account.

2. In the navigation menu, navigate to the Upgrade tab.

3. On the Upgrade tab, review the information and click Connect to a 2.0 account.

You've successfully connected your 1.0 and 2.0 Partner dashboards! You can now navigate to your Client directory and begin upgrading your eligible clients.

FAQs: Connect your Partner account to 2.0

    • No, the discount structure in 2.0 is different. Your firm will automatically get access to the tier discount based on the number of active clients. Check out the Partner pricing guide for more details.
    • The Partner Connect workflow does not move any data. The Partner Connect workflow simply establishes a bridge between the two accounts, allowing you to upgrade your clients' accounts while maintaining the association with your partner dashboard. If you do not yet have a Partner account in 2.0, please use the Partner upgrade workflow instead.
    • We recommend upgrading or connecting your partner account as soon as the option is available to you. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with your new 2.0 dashboard and check in on your client's deadlines as soon as possible.
    • All partners with at least one eligible client will have access to the Upgrade tab in their partner account. If you do not have access to the Upgrade tab, it means that none of your clients are yet eligible to upgrade.
    • No, but you will need to upgrade your clients by their deadline. You can view the deadline for each of your clients in your 1.0 Partner dashboard, once you've upgraded or connect your partner account to 2.0.
    • No, you can upgrade your clients over at different times, as long as the accounts are upgraded by their associated deadline.
    • Only the Partner's account owner can initiate the Connect workflow.
    • Once you have connected to a 2.0 partner account, you will still be able to log into your 1.0 partner account and access your partner dashboard and remaining 1.0 clients as usual. Please note that any data added to 1.0 after the upgrade will not move over to 2.0. If you make additional changes in your 1.0 account, you will need to ensure that you are updating both apps accordingly.
    • No more than 10 minutes.
    • If the connect fails, you will see a failed message. Our team will reach out and instruct you regarding what to do next.
    • We recommend adding new clients to 2.0 to avoid the extra work of upgrading these clients in the near future. However, as of now, you are able to continue adding clients to 1.0.
