In this guide, you'll find step-by-step instructions for how to change your subscription plan as well as answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about subscription plans.

When you change your plan, the change will take effect immediately and you’ll be pro-rated for the days on each plan.

Change subscription plan

1. In the navigation bar, click Settings.

5. Review the confirmation page, then click Back to Subscription.

You've changed your subscription! On the Subscription page, you'll see your updated plan your revised billing cycle fees.

FAQs: Change subscription plan

  • The Solo plan is only available to companies with 1 pay group on a monthly payroll. If you have more than one pay group, or a payroll frequency of Bi-weekly, Semi-monthly, or Weekly, you will not be able to change to the Solo plan.

  • That’s the beauty of our pricing model. You can change your subscription at any time.
    If you run payroll more than once a month, or if you have multiple pay groups, then the Unlimited plan is the best fit for you. If you run only one payroll a month for a single pay group, then we recommend the Solo plan.
  • When you upgrade from the Solo plan to the Unlimited plan, it will take effect immediately and you’ll be pro-rated for the days on each plan. If you move from the Unlimited plan to the Solo plan, it will take effect on the next billing cycle.

FAQs: Billing

  • You will receive monthly invoices on the last day of your billing period. For example, if you start your 14-day free trial on the 1st and want to move forward with Wagepoint after your trial is over, your monthly subscription will start on the 15th and you will be invoiced on the 15th of the following month.
    If a bookkeeper or accountant is paying fees on behalf of their clients, they’ll be billed on the 1st of the month for all clients in the prior month.
  • You can manage your subscription and view invoices by navigating to Settings > Subscription.

FAQs: Solo plan

  • No. If you’re on the Solo plan, you’ll need to upgrade to the Unlimited plan for that billing cycle. You can change your subscription afterwards.
  • No. If you’re on the Solo plan, you’ll need to upgrade to the Unlimited plan to run payroll for multiple pay groups.
  • Your subscription is based on your billing cycle. You can view your billing cycle by navigating to Settings > Subscription.

FAQs: Unlimited plan

  • Nope! If you have multiple pay groups on the Unlimited plan, you’ll only be charged $40 (+$5 per employee/contractor) once per billing cycle no matter how many pay groups you are processing payroll for. That’s why we named it Unlimited!
  • Nope! The Unlimited plan is all-you-can-payroll You can have as many pay groups and run as much payroll, including extra or off-cycle pay runs, as you want within the month.
