Review and adjust permissions for an employee or contractor

Employee and contractor permissions reflect the fields that an individual can edit in their Employee portals. 

Note: You must be an administrator to adjust permissions for an individual.


1. In the navigation menu, go to Settings.

2. Under Company settings, click Roles & Permissions.

3. Under Roles and permissions, select People

4. Locate the relevant individual and click View.

5. In the User permissions table, review the permission settings for this individual.

6. To make changes, click Edit.

7. Make your desired changes, then click Save. If you’ve edited this section before, you have the option to reset to default once you select Edit.


Types of User Permissions

For each permission, you'll select the appropriate level of access for the individual. Access levels for employees and contractors include:

  • View & edit: The user will be able to access and edit the information in that section.
  • View only: The user can access the section in a read-only state.
