Invite to employee portal

Every employee or contractor can access their Wagepoint accounts online. Within the employee portal, they are able to access their pay stubs, year-end reports, self-onboarding fields, and update some of their profile details, such as their address and banking information.

Invitations to the employee portal are not automatic. An employer must invite the employee to the employee portal before the individual can access their account.

Please note:

  • The employer must enter an email address in the relevant person’s profile before they can send the employee/contractor an invitation to the employee portal
  • Once the employee has logged in and created their password, the administrator will be unable to update the employee email field. The employee will need to follow the steps here to change their email within their employee portal.

To send an invitation:

1. In the navigation menu, select People.

2. Locate the relevant person in your People list, click on the drop-down arrow, and select Invite to employee portal.

Your employee or contractor will receive an email with a link to set up their account.

FAQ: Employee portal

  • Yes. Your employees and contractors can access their pay stubs in the Employee portal. You simply need to invite them to log in.
  • Employee pay stubs will be available on the pay date.
  • No. To ensure the privacy and security of your employee's information, you are not able to email paystubs to an employee directly.
  • In this case, there are a couple things to check:
    • Is the individual's email address correct? You can check this in their employee profile or the administrator list.
    • Has the individual's account been disabled? Navigate to Settings > Roles & permissions, locate the relevant role and click View. On the Employees/Contractors with access tab, click Show filters, select "View disabled access" from the drop-down menu, and click Apply. If the individual's account has been disabled, it will appear here. You can find more details about this workflow in this article under "Re-enable access to the Employee portal".
    • Has the individual checked their spam folder?
    • Has the individual already logged into their employee portal? To check this: Navigate to Settings > Roles & permissions, locate the relevant role and click View. On the Employees/Contractors with access tab, locate the relevant individual and review the Last logged in column. If they have logged in, they should be able to reset their password, rather than you sending an invitation.
    • If none of these strategies work, reach out to us at support@wagepoint.com for further assistance. Note that for security reasons, please reach out from your administrator account. We will not engage with employees directly.
